The sunrise from our hotel room this morning.
Below are some pictures of the flora and foliage we saw on a quick walk we took after breakfast. Breakfast was not photo worthy as I had a banana and protein bar.

This is Jo Anne coming up the hill saying I think I can, I think I can 🤣
We had scheduled an Uber to pick us up at the hotel and take us to our cooking class. When I first checked on his arrival he was six minutes away. I watched him going the wrong direction, turning around time and time again and the ETA getting longer and longer. He finally said he was lost and to cancel the ride. By this time we were afraid we would be late to class but I scheduled another Uber anyway. He showed to be four minutes away and actually got there in four minutes. We told him about the other driver and that we were going to be late. He zipped through traffic and got us to class only three minutes after we were supposed to be there and we were not even the last ones to show up. Yay! Below are some pics from the rooftop class.
It was a little chilly in the wind but a beautiful clear day.

On the drive to Half Moon Bay we get a glimpse of what the next few days along the coast will be like.
The Half Moon Bay Inn
Our room tonight
We’re staying in a little Italian boutique style inn. It’s very nice but the internet is horrible. I wasn’t sure I would be able to blog tonight. Tried several times but kept getting kicked off. Hopefully I will be able to get this posted before losing my connection again.
Our room
An amazing stained glass mosaic on the side of a building. You can’t really tell how large it is from the picture. Having done a couple of mosaics, I was awed.
We met the Macs Adventure rep (Marie) at our inn this afternoon. She gave us this cute little welcome bag and maps for our journey up the coast. We’re excited to begin our walking adventure and also a bit anxious after looking at the maps. The weather was so sunny today that the beaches were very crowded. I expect it will be the same tomorrow since it will still be the weekend but hopefully will thin out on Monday.
Jo Anne had fish and chips for dinner.
I had a grilled king salmon tostado on mixed greens with avocado, asparagus, black beans, pickled onions and a spicy salsa. It was delish! Obviously we don’t neglect eating on our trips.
Back to the room to get a good nights rest 🙏🏻
Our steps for the day. Not too shabby for a day we had no walking plans.
